2012 was a great blogging year for me and I’ve been learning a lot from different blogs and bloggers.
I’ve hard worked in 2012 with reading and learning new skills everyday and It’s almost impossible for me to name all the names and show each and everyone the proper respect for teaching me something and for the relationship we’ve created.
I thought It would be useful to write a post listing the top 10 of the bloggers I’ve been following in 2012 and who stood out to me this year and suggest you to watch them in the coming year because they’re the ones you must follow and learn from.
I’m familiar with the work of all of them because I’ve watched them for so long and learned a lot from everyone of them.
They’re an inspiration for every blogger and If you aren’t familiar with them yet, I urge you to watch them in 2013.

1. Daniel Scocco:
I’m mentioning Daniel Scocco’s name at first because he is the one who helped me in many ways
I truly appreciate his support.
I love Daniel’s work because he goes beyond the collection of ideas and tips about blogging and provides narrative at DailyBlogTips.com which he started in 2006.
He’s the one I’ve been watching for few years now and It isn’t the first time I’m mentioning him here at Guide and News. I like him because he’s the one of people who always evolved challenges that blogging and online business presented.
He has been a pro blogger since last many years and at the end of 2011, he started working on mobile apps and he is blogging as a hobby now.
He’s also behind the DailyWritingTips.com multi-author blog which is a great blog to learn writing skills, grammar, spelling and punctuation tips.
Daniel also helped a lot of bloggers on starting a blog and internet marketers to take their online business to the take level through his OnlineProfits.com course which he started long ago.
I’m really excited to see what Daniel does in 2013.
2. Ileane Smith:
Ileane Smith is someone I’ve been watching for 6 or so months now and I learned a lot from her about blogging and social media..
She has a popular blog, but focuses on networking and relationship building more rather than just being a blogger and she built the majority of her following through social media.
She started BasicBlogTips.com in 2011 and quickly built a solid reputation for producing quality content and building relationships with her followers.
I’ve done several guest posts at her blog which you can read here.
I can’t wait to see her shining in the coming year.
3. Derek Halpern:
Derek Halpern is the smartest online marketer out there and brain behind the SocialTriggers.com where he shares the strategies to learn the human psychology to get traffic and sales online.
I’ve been watching him since the starting of the year and learned a lot of lessons from him including:
- The best ways to turn the web traffic into leads and sales.
- The ways to find out what goes on inside the mind of people.
- The best ways and incentive to capture more email subscribers on your blog.
- The examples of how you can get more out of some of the popular pages on your blog.
- And much more…
If you haven’t been reading Social Triggers, you probably should from now.
4. Pat Flynn:
Pat Flynn is someone who considers himself the luckiest person on the earth and I’ve been following him the whole year.
He’s the man behind the SmartPassiveIncome.com blog which I’ve been reading from long time where he shares the strategies, his business and his income reports that can help you to make money online and reach your goals.
He doesn’t consider himself as an online marketing guru, but I think he is! Because his techniques and strategies helped lots of bloggers and online marketers reach their goals.
Few words from Pat himself.
“Earning any type of income online takes a lot of hard work, patience and a little bit of luck too. I know I have an inspiring story and I’m here to inspire you too, however I want to do it the right way and I speak only from my own experience.“
Pat is one of the coolest guy online. He helps so many of us when he already has a successful business. I hope to see a lot more of him in 2013.
5. Zac Johnson:
Out of all of the people in the list, Zac Johnson is someone who started making money online the earliest.
He is behind popular blog BloggingTips.com, but I wouldn’t call him a blogger and I’m not sure what to really call him. Some people calls him a super affiliate, while some others call him an successful internet marketer.
He started building websites when he was only 16 and by 2006 he had a website making $30,000 a month. He’s the master in not only blogging, but also in affiliate marketing and internet marketing.
I think Zac will be one of the bloggers that will really stand out over the coming years. He has such a natural talent and we are in the fortunate position to watch him evolve.
6. Ana Hoffman:
Ana Hoffman is an accomplished blogger and the founder of TrafficGenerationCafe.com where she shares the most profit-pulling and most effective free traffic generation tips and strategies to help you take your website and business where n0 website or business has gone before.
I love her work, her style and her contribution to the industry. I enjoy reading her articles on Traffic Generation Cafe where readers are fortunate enough to get insights on blog traffic generation strategies.
Ana has an inspiring story that I’m sure will inspire you, read her story.
7. Kimberly J Castleberry:
Kimberly J Castleberry is behind the popular blog Just-Ask-Kim.com where she shares the basics of many aspects of social technology, internet marketing strategies, bite-sized tutorials and ways to build up online sales into simple.
If you’re like me who want get the best results from your social marketing, but the “techy stuff” has just been too much to filter with, Just Ask Kim will help you survive the Techy Stuff and save you countless headaches.
When I first started with blogging, I didn’t have anyone in my corner, her blog helped me in many ways to learn all the basics of social marketing and blogging, she worth a shout out here.
I’m curious to see how she leverages her brand in 2013.
8. Greg Narayan:
Greg runs “Dear Blogger” a blog that he started with the intention of helping people and he treats it as a blogging answers community.
I’ve learned a lot from him and he’s the one who gave me the idea of building the community on my blog and also helped me in the customization of my theme (We both are Theme Junkie lovers by the way 
)
Greg is an experienced blogger who started in 2010 and just after 6 months of blogging, his work got featured in the Huffington Post alongside Brobible.
Few works from Greg himself:
“People forget that good blogging is all about adding value to reader’s life and making them love your blog. It’s not about getting more fans, traffic and links to your blog. That’s all part of the process, but It’s become such a focus that It clouds what you say as a blogger can offer people.“
2012 was the year he spent on working hard and getting attention. Now I’m curious to see what will he do in 2013.
9. Marcus Sheridan:
Marcus is guru of content marketing and inbound marketing. He started TheSalesLion.com (one of the best dang marketing, business, and life-success blog on the internet) to share the strategies of content marketing and to teach about the power of community.
He started his swimming pool company, River Pools and Spas in 2001 and It grew to be one of the largest of It’s kind in the world.
He also became a successful Hubspot partner, training inbound marketers how to find success because of huge success teaching other pool professionals how to embrace inbound marketing.
I think we can all learn from his experience and poke more fun at our work and watching him in 2013 will be really beneficial for every blogger.
10. Kristi Hines:
Kristi Hines is behind a popular blog Kikolani.com which is a home to her blogging tips and blog marketing advice catered to personal, professional, and business bloggers alike.
In addition to maintaining her Kikolani.com with her great posts which I’ve been really enjoying, she is also a freelance writer, online marketing consultant and social media enthusiast.
Thanks to her blogging and networking efforts. I’m sure you’ll learn a lot from her in the coming year..
That’s not all:
There are still so many awesome bloggers I met in 2012 and learned something from, but unfortunately I’m not able to list all of them here. I just want to say that you all are awesome!

Yes dear, Mustafa Ahmedzai should also have been here in this list, he is also a blogger who is one of the creative person in the blogging community, the above all are actually WordPress users, but Mustafa covers blogger platform which is free for all and mostly use blogger for free blogging. And thus, Mustafa helps them in real time. And you know there are very few guys who totally work for blogger users.
So I think he should have been included.
Who is Mustafa Ahmedzai?
Kidding.
I like Mustafa’s work too and he has been helping newbie bloggers from long time – when I was writing the post, I thought to include him, but as ya know that I had to limit the names to 10, otherwise It could be very long post.
Mustafa is someone I’ll be watching in my whole life, not only in 2013 – whether he’s included in this post or not.

While I respect the people you have on that list, most of them have already established their niche in the blogging world. Why not actually put up some new comers to ‘watch’ in 2013? The bloggers listed are all over the web and if you are at all interested in the finer points of blogging, most of their names come up.
I would have expected a list of bloggers that are actually up and coming.
A lot of bloggers already wrote posts and listed the top upcoming bloggers list on their blog Rosales.

I was so glad to see Ana Hoffman on here. She’s about as awesome as you can find, and has a lot to teach anyone who will listen.
One blogger who I wanted to point out for anyone who hasn’t heard about him is Danny Iny and his team at FirepoleMarketing.com. I know he’s already pretty popular, but I have learned a ridiculous amount from him since I discovered his blog last year (thanks to Ana Hoffman, I might add.)

This was a nice post. I know 6 of these bloggers. I agree and disagree with you about Daniel though. You are right, he is very helpful. But about an year ago, I started following his blog as it had become a guest posting hub. But this is case with many popular blogs these days(I left reading ProBlogger for same reason, too many guest posts and very less content from the guy I wanted to listen to!)

Thank you Ishan, I know that DBT and ProBlogger are the guest posting hub, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t watch them. You know when Darren started ProBlogger, he spent 4 years by daily posting on his blog by himself. Same with Daniel! Now their blog has grown and they became a problogger, so now everyone are doing their best to get featured on their blog.
Yup, you are right ehsan. So, why don’t you post regularly?

I also asked this question from Ehsan. Answer is, Darren Rowse is also a great blogger to watch in the coming year, but he guess the world already knows about him.
Yes Raplus, but It’s not the only reason. Actually the bloggers I listed here are the ones who thought me something regarding blogging and Darren’s blog is already on top, so I didn’t think mentioning him in this post will even let him know about it.
Hmm. Yeah, he is the top and will be in the TOP, no one has chance to beat him even in the coming 5 years.

Helping people that were having to have a go of it on their own, with no one to assist them with WP and social marketing is exactly how my blog started. It didn't begin with a goal of blogging but rather a goal of getting some of the things I was helping people with down into tutorials. This meant more people to benefit from it and I didn't have to answer the same question 20 times in one day, LOL It's grown from there and is just wrapping up it's third year.
