Why Do I Respond To Every Comment on My Blog And Why You Should Too

You want to know my secret strategy to building relationships with bloggers and increasing the number of comments?

Of course you do…

This is a question I’ve been asked by many bloggers like Anil Agarwal from BloggersPassion.com

Well, You need to add a human aspect to your blog and remind readers that there’s actually a human being writing, not just an automation.

I do respond to every comment on my blog because It engages the commentator.

Responding To Every CommentWhen a person takes time to comment on my post, I enjoy the feedback and It’s fun to communicate via comments for me which on the other hand has a lot of benefits.

Responding to every comment builds relationship, makes your readers love your blog and and encourages them to come back – again and again.

If a readers made a several comments on your blog and they went unnoticed, He/she will stop visiting your blog again because of the “pro customer service” lol.

Don’t miss: 5 Things I did to increase my blog comments

Here are some of the reason on why do I respond to each and every comment on my blog and why you should too:

1. It Adds Human Aspect:

You can get more comments on your blog from people, more than other bloggers having tens of thousands of subscribers.

The key here is to add a human aspect on your blog.

I try my best to respond to every comment on my blog, even comments which says only “Thank you” or “Great post” because It does encourage people to come back and leave more comments. They’ll start engaging with the blogger If their comments had responded.

It probably makes them feel good that I took time to respond to their comments which adds the human aspect on my blog.

Now If you respond to them every time, they’ll start trusting in you and you’ll start gaining the trust of your readers which is what every bloggers want to.

2. It Builds Relationship:

As I said in my previous post that blogging is all about building relationships and gaining the trust of your readers.

Now If you take 5 minutes of your time by responding to every comment on your blog by showing some appreciation to them, they’ll be more likely to come back to comment again.

It is the key secrets to build relationships with your readers and increase the engagement with them.

Also, New visitors will also be happy to comment on your blog knowing that they’ll be appreciated by you.

3. It Starts Conversation:

I love to start a conversation with my readers in comments section.

Not only in my own blog. When I’m reading someone’s blog, I’m more likely to leave a comment If I have a question or to add some information to the discussion which also helped me build authority and creativity.

Respond to comments even if it Isn’t reply worthy because by answering them, there’s a chance to get responded from them again and also you demonstrate that you care enough to read and reply.

4. It Helps Build Authority:

Whenever I write a tutorials article on my blog, I do get comments from people asking questions from me.

So, answering them helps me build authority and creativity. Responding to every comment and trying to solve readers problem, you’ll be establishing yourself as a expert in your niche.

It won’t get more than 5 minutes to respond to every comment, but in return there are a lot of benefits and It’s worth it.

5. It Increases the number of comments:

I love to see the comment count high on my posts (even If half of them are mine lol ;) because the more comments you get do help in SEO optimization in a minimal way.

Responding to every comment also helps in increasing the number of comments. By replying to their comment you’re letting them know that you’re actively involved in reading their comment which will encourage them to stay on your blog and leave more comments.

Think about it:

You want to know why Pat Flynn of SmartPassiveIncome.com or Neil Patel of QuickSprout.com are successful?

Here’s a hint…

…Because they have built trust, they value their readers and they respond to every comment on their blog (At least to those which adds little value).

Speak your mind:

What do you think of a blogger who responds to every comment on his/her blog?

Do you think It’s worth time to spend on responding to comments on your blog? I would love to hear from you!

  10. November 20, 2012 at 1:04 pm #

This is definitely something I need to work on. I tried responding to every comment early on but as I got busier it would usually be one of those things I meant to do but never got around to actually doing.

    • November 20, 2012 at 4:55 pm #

Welcome Mike, you need to spent time on responding to the comments of your readers because It’s worth it.

  11. November 14, 2012 at 6:41 pm #

Ehsan I agree with you, but in last point, you said that it helps SEO, I didn’t get that point, how maximum number of comments help in SEO? Many times comments disturb our keyword density, that’s why if there is important post then I create it as a page instead of post.

    • November 14, 2012 at 7:44 pm #

It won’t disturb the keyword density at all Rajesh. Comments does help in SEO because the more you use the main keyword in it, the more chances to increase rankings.

  12. November 10, 2012 at 4:54 pm #

I usually comment–typically when I can add to the conversation, when that person shared a funny or interesting story in their comment, or said something that really touched me. There are comments that I simply can’t think of anything to say in response to–so I don’t reply. I also don’t reply to spam, or “great post” or “cute outfit.” :P

    • November 10, 2012 at 7:04 pm #

I also receive those type of comments Hira, but what I do is asking a question in respond to that commentator which makes them come back and respond to me along the way.

You should also do it, will you?

  13. November 7, 2012 at 4:17 am #

Personally, I think it’s a must! Trust is vital and it’s just a nice gesture to say thanks even if they didn’t really leave any value. Yep, one tip is to leave an open ended question as it helps people engage on your blog. Not to mention it pings the search engines :)

    • November 7, 2012 at 8:58 am #

Garen, you might have noticed that I’ve asked a question in respond to most of the comments in this post, so what do you think? why I did this?

      • November 7, 2012 at 4:27 pm #

        To increase engagement.

        • November 7, 2012 at 5:01 pm #

Yes, but also to encourage them to come back and respond to me like I encouraged you and you came back to respond to me :D

  14. November 2, 2012 at 8:10 pm #

I totally agree that the most beneficial factor for your blog’s success is building a solid relationship with your readers, and that is done mostly thru replying to their comments on your blog.

I’m just a beginner blogger so I don’t have that many readers but I always respond to their comments, I honestly think that having their comments replied to makes them more willing to share my posts.

Thanks for the information Ehsan, looking forward to future posts on this topic
    Cheers.

You’ll be in elite bloggers list soon Philip If you don’t give up and keep working hard on your blog. Relationship building is must in blogging so It’s always good to respond to every commentator because It has great benefits and good impression on commentator too.

  19. October 25, 2012 at 3:54 pm #

this is really a nice post and teaches us the important of the commenting that how much the commenting is necessary and not only the commenting how much important is to reply the comment as well

    • October 26, 2012 at 3:31 pm #

Thanks Neeraj, I think bloggers who don’t recognize their readers shouldn’t really be blogging in the first place. your thoughts?

  20. October 25, 2012 at 3:42 pm #

That’s a lot of responding. If you have one of those blogs where no one comments than all is well. However, I do agree with you that it’s nice to receive a response when you spend the time to write something. The internet’s all about blasting from page to page and putting little effort in, so I’m always happy when someone says “hello” back.

I run a personal blog and I got some hate mail for a review I did of the film Prometheus; I thought it was awful and mocked it relentlessly in the post. I was quite overjoyed with the response I got; it was well worded and intelligent but accused me of being moronic. I replied back politely. Despite this I’ve never heard from the complainer again. Decorum intact, at least!

    • October 26, 2012 at 3:29 pm #

Thanks Alex, I make sure to respond to all comments, If not all of the comments are here to show how powerful, If more people comments and It’s the top post on the frond page for comments that will show the power of social proof.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts here.

  21. October 25, 2012 at 5:18 am #

trust is the the key for bloggers to get people to read the article thus replying back to each comment is indeed very crucial. thanks

    • October 25, 2012 at 7:34 am #

Yup Andy, building trust is must in blogging. I also have a blog post about it, have you read it?

  22. October 24, 2012 at 1:51 pm #

Hi Ehsan, I totally agree, it doesn’t take long to reply to a comment on a blog even if it is a simple ‘Hi thank you for your kind comments and have a great day’ kind of reply.

It is all about the networking and interaction.

There is one blog I visit which is supposed to be a field leader in blogging, I read and share the posts and then leave a comment, don’t think I have ever had a reply and what do I feel like doing? Never returning, the only reason I do return is because I learn something now and again so I do check the blog more than I feel like I should.

    Good post and speak soon
    Andi

    • October 24, 2012 at 2:44 pm #

Andi, I also like the blogs where I get responded and appreciated for my comments. The big example of those type blogs is Pat’s SmartPassiveIncome.com
He is a great guy to responds to every comment of his readers which is a great thing.

Glad you agreed with my point here and I’m sure you’re also responding to every comment on your blog.

    October 24, 2012 at 10:09 am #

    Hi Ehsan,
I super definitely agree with you here on your post that responding to comments made on your blog posts is one simple yet effective way of making your blog obtain an overall good reputation and people will always come back because they like what they are reading in your blog.
However, I think it’s really up to the blog owner if he’s willing to spend time in replying to every comment that his blog posts gets. But of course, replying to comments in your posts can only bring in more good things to come to your blog. I’ve never seen any disadvantages in replying to comments anyway.

    • October 24, 2012 at 2:07 pm #

Hey Felicia, I really appreciate your every comment on my blog.

I just wanted to ask one thing from you that do you have a blog? I’ve always seen that you’re linking to a casino website?

I would love to visit your blog and connect with you by leaving a comment,

  24. October 23, 2012 at 7:48 pm #

This is a fantastic blog post and I found you through BizSugar.com. I totally agree with you. I respond to every single comment that I get on my blog as well. It is one of the best ways to build trust with your readers and increase engagement and interaction.

I also apply this same principle to engaging and interacting on the social networks. I make it a point to respond to every Facebook wall comment I get and ever RT or mention I get on Twitter. This is what going above and beyond is all about and is the biggest thing that will set you apart from all the other ‘noise’ out there in the blogosphere.

I really appreciate this post and I respect your integrity and authenticity. Thanks for sharing this with us!

    Ti

    • October 23, 2012 at 8:51 pm #

      Hey TI,

Yes, other than responding to every comment on your blog. Responding to comments on Facebook wall status and Twitter mentions are also good thing which is what as you said the biggest thing that will set apart from the crowd.

I appreciate you stopped by and clicked on my link at BizSugar.

      Thanks.

  25. October 23, 2012 at 3:55 pm #

I agree to that, replying to everyone may consume a lot of time but at the end of the day what matter is the relationship you made which is very valuable especially when you are trying to build an authority of yourself.

    • October 23, 2012 at 8:26 pm #

At the end of the day It’s worth the time Arwin, It has a lot of benefits other than building relationship with bloggers.

Are you spending time on responding to the comments of your readers?

  26. October 23, 2012 at 10:41 am #

    Hmmm…

Why respond to comments, well it increases interaction and helps build a community which is what most would like to achieve. Other than that it makes the place look nice and busy.

    • October 23, 2012 at 2:12 pm #

Hey Simmeon, How are you doing my friend?

Thanks for your comment here ;)

  27. October 23, 2012 at 7:36 am #

    Hi Ehsan,
As your faithful reader, I must admit that I highly appreciate all of your responses to my comments. It is really important to me to know that you receive my feedback and we start a conversation sharing our points of view.
I think the same goes for others. Leaving a comment just passing by and forgetting about it forever is not bad. However, getting a response and building contacts is what we really need.

    • October 23, 2012 at 2:15 pm #

Hey Julia, Ignoring the comments of your readers in my opinion is very bad in blogging because If they’re spending time on leaving a quality comment on your blog, so you must also show some appreciation by responding to them.

I really appreciate you stopping by Julia :)

  28. October 22, 2012 at 5:43 pm #

  29. October 22, 2012 at 4:41 pm #

Well i think you are gaining trust from new readers by responding to every comments :D,

Yeah its a great thought .. thanks will try it on my blog.

    • October 22, 2012 at 6:27 pm #

HAha, I’m just trying to make it clear that responding to comments is must in blogging because blogging is like social engagement and starting conversation with readers though comments is a great thing. Right Marshall?

  30. October 22, 2012 at 3:51 pm #

It can be tough Ehsan sometimes to respond to every comment, but it’s sure good for your online reputation. More communication means more trust and new loyal visitor.

But on the other side, it can be dangerous for business, because all of your effort goes into commenting instead of writing new and valuable content.

    thanks for sharing

    • October 22, 2012 at 6:29 pm #

It won’t James, I’ve seen a lot of top bloggers responding to each and every comment on their bog and still providing great content too.

Responding to comments won’t take more than 5 minutes of your time, It’s worth your time!

  31. October 22, 2012 at 1:56 pm #

Comments section is my love. You have already covered everything to convince general readers to comment back on your blog, and as well as the article is eye-opener for the bloggers that ignores to reply-back.

    • October 22, 2012 at 3:26 pm #

I just tried to make it clear that responding to every comment on your blog is must here because I’ve seen so many bloggers were ignoring the comments of their readers. Have you seen bloggers like this Humza?

  32. October 22, 2012 at 1:49 pm #

    Hi

I enjoy blogging and commentating especially when I get comments on my site I make sure i always reply along with an answer or comment which I hope is useful to the other person. Its the same when i find a new blogging site its nice to build a relationship with the writer otherwise i go else where!

    • October 21, 2012 at 9:48 pm #

Nice Richard, you’re doing great on your blog, but one thing I would like to ask is that why didn’t you choose .com domain name instead of .co.uk? It could work better in blogging. Don’t you think so?

      • October 22, 2012 at 8:04 am #

You are correct Ehsan .com is the way to go. if you follow any internet expert (like yourself) or read internet guides then .com is the way to go for a global audience. If it is just .co.uk then it limits your exposure and people outside the UK may feel it is not for them.

        • October 22, 2012 at 1:38 pm #

Agreed with you The Guy, I have also written a blog on tips to find good domain name where I’ve talked a lot about it.

  35. October 21, 2012 at 5:28 pm #

    Hey Ehsan,

I definitely like 1 and 2. There’s a lot of people using PLR some automatic blogging system that lacks their own character and thinking. By answering comments and showing their you’re not a “system” than it shows how responsive you are to each individual person. Also this is a great start to build great relationships with people in general, whether you can help them or even get some referrals.

    Sherman

    • October 21, 2012 at 6:00 pm #

Hey Sherman, I didn’t know that there’s actually any PLR automatic blogging system too, I just wanted to say that responding to every comments creates a human aspect.

Agreed with your points Sherman, Thanks for adding them :)

  36. October 21, 2012 at 1:26 pm #

Human aspect is very important in the blogging world, as we are constantly sitting on our desks glaring at screens somethings its gets lonely , and all you want someone is to talk to , commenting really helps to connect as well as network with bloggers.

    • October 21, 2012 at 2:10 pm #

Hey Pushkar, Glad you liked my post man. Yes Commenting helps bloggers build relationship with other bloggers as well It helps in getting traffic and link building too.

BTW, Is it your first comment on my blog?

  37. October 21, 2012 at 12:51 pm #

Replying to comments even if it adds less value to the post is important as you said.

Sometimes people try to comment on posts which could be irrelevant. But replying and correcting their comment is like we are starting a new conversation with them. This particular thing makes commentator think that he/she must read atleast some part of the post before commenting.

And believe me, next time when he tries to comment on our blog, I’m sure he’ll be reading not complete but atleast some part or a paragraph of our post.

To be frank, when I was new in blogging I tried alot to get backlinks from comments. And commented on many sites without even reading the heading/title of the post :P . But then I got few replies from the blog owner correcting me. I felt ashamed and started reading the post before commenting. Hope you got my point.

Thanks for the awesome post brother.

    • October 21, 2012 at 2:36 pm #

Hey Abdullah, I did the same thing. I had only read that commenting is the way to build backlinks, so I tried to leave as much comments on every blog as I can without even reading the post. I didn’t really knew that I need to build a relationship too.

And I totally agree with you on this that If you show appreciation to the commentator, It will make them love your blog and will also make them your loyal readers.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts bro, I truly appreciate your comment ;)

  38. October 21, 2012 at 12:45 pm #

Your second point strikes me hard – it build relationship. You are absolutely right. If I will reply to comments then it will definitely make a relationship with him/her and he/she will return to my blog. THanks for your all tips.

    • October 21, 2012 at 2:43 pm #

There are a lot of other benefits too for responding to every comment on your blog posts.

BTW, Yogesh do you respond to every comment on your blog?

  39. October 20, 2012 at 11:39 am #

Commenting on blogs really build good relationships. I have experienced that. Thanks for sharing your efforts Ehsaan. By the way your smiley in above comment doesn’t work he he he :-)

    • October 20, 2012 at 1:27 pm #

      Thanks Rudraksh,

BTW, which smileys are you talking about? :O

  40. October 20, 2012 at 8:10 am #

Absolutely correct. If we do not respond to comments on our blog, then it creates a feeling of ‘robot static site’ and not ‘human blog’. A blog is defined by interaction and interaction is furnished by visitors and the author both.

    • October 20, 2012 at 10:19 am #

      haha Right Mahaveer (Y)!

If you do respond to every comment on your blog than readers will love your blog.

Why don’t you move to Wodpress self hosted blog from free blogspot blog?

  41. October 20, 2012 at 7:12 am #

      Hello Rahul,

And as Bhushan suggested you that use CommentLuv plugin on your blog and also try to build relationships with other bloggers in your niche.

    Hi Ehsan,
Thanks a lot for writing an awesome post about comments, many people needs suggestion and solution when you write something, and if you do reply then your reader will be happy for your response which will give you a positive vibe from your readers, and when readers get a response then new readers always comment because they know you reply each and everyone..

As I always say that Commenters are your Real readers, and you should do what they want..

    Great post buddy!

    • October 20, 2012 at 10:14 am #

Hey Nishant, Thanks for the nice words.

Replying to every comments makes the readers feel good and the best way to get responded from the blogger is to try to ask a question.

Yes Commentators are the real readers who visited your blog and spent sometime on your blog, so you must value and appreciate them.

The comments of my readers is what which motivates me more.

      Thanks again mate!

  43. October 19, 2012 at 9:59 pm #

I agree…responding to every comment is important to keep the conversation going!

    • October 19, 2012 at 10:15 pm #

Hey Wade, but I’ve seen you’re ignoring some of the comments on your blog posts?

  44. October 19, 2012 at 8:43 pm #

Wonderful post! Well yes, blogging is all about building relationships and gaining the readers trust, it’s good to respond to every comment (atleast those who add little value), to show some kind of appreciation to the commenters, as it will encourage the commenters to come back again and thereby increasing user engagement on blog. And agreed, responding to every comment and helping readers, is a good way to establish as an expert in the blog niche, thereby building authority. Thanks Ehsan for sharing this awesome post :)

    • October 19, 2012 at 9:36 pm #

Nizam, I appreciate your comment man and I’m sure you’re responding to every comment on your blog :)

BTW, why don’t you add “Well yes” to every comment?

      • October 21, 2012 at 3:28 pm #

        Hey Ehsan !

It’s like I’m leaving my opinion upfront from what I have read and agreeing to the points mentioned. So that’s why I use “well yes” at the starting of my comments. Hope you got it :)

        • October 21, 2012 at 4:27 pm #

Haha, I was just kidding Nizam and yeah, Adding “Well yes” at the starting of comments shows that you’re truly knowledgeable about the post topic and you’re sharing your opinion regarding this.

          Don’t you think so Nizam?

          • October 23, 2012 at 8:46 pm #

Yes, you got it right Ehsan :)

  45. October 19, 2012 at 8:07 pm #

    Hey Ehsan,

Completely agree with you. I always try to respond the all commentators. But I don’t reply those who say only “thank you” or other stupid comments. Now I realize I should respond them too.
    Thanks for sharing.

    • October 19, 2012 at 9:33 pm #

It’s really nice to know it Istiak that now you’ll be responding to every comment on your blog.

Am just landing on your blog, so I want reply from you for my comment ok? ;)

  46. October 19, 2012 at 7:55 pm #

You know this is something that I have not been doing. I know its important to be human, to connect and gets conversation going but sometimes its difficult. But now I understand how important the whole thing thing. Thank you for reinforcing this to me.
So to answer your question; is it important, itssssss veryyyy important.

    • October 19, 2012 at 9:31 pm #

Lol Shalu, I was noticing it before and I’ve written this post just for bloggers like you who ignores their commentators all the time which is what they’re blogging.

Nice to know that now you understood it that how important it is to respond to every comment on your blog by showing some appreciation.

Thanks again Shalu for leaving a comment here.

      • October 22, 2012 at 5:00 pm #

Thank you Ehsan, I will attempt to do that for every comment. There is no denying its important. Blogging is something like a social engagement as well where the blogger and commentator interacts with each other.
        Thank you for reminding me.

        • October 22, 2012 at 6:25 pm #

Yay!! Nice to know you’ll be attempting to respond to every comment on your blog Shalu. Engaging with readers though comments is must in blogging as It’s the way to connect and build relationship with them.

  47. October 19, 2012 at 5:17 pm #

    Hi Ehsan,

Well said how to build relation with commentators. When you reply to a comment, it shows you care for that commentator. It gives trust & reliability

    • October 19, 2012 at 9:20 pm #

Glad you liked my post Ahsan, Are you getting enough comments to your posts? Have you read my post about increasing blog comments yet?

  48. October 19, 2012 at 5:16 pm #

The only reason i came back to your blog was you responded to my comment. But how do you respond to comments like great article, nice post or people making a comment just seeing the title of the post. I wrote a post e mail marketing is dead and wrote on the necessity of it and i’ve a comment which says that i am wrong e mail marketing is very important????

    • October 19, 2012 at 9:18 pm #

George, I love to see someone disagreeing with me. You know what? When you’re receiving comments from people saying that you’re wring e-mail marketing is important, It actually starts a conversation.

You try to make it clear for them that why email marketing is very important?
And yeah, I do respond to comments which just says “Thanks you” or “Great post” by asking something from them or thanking them for stopping by.

      Got my point?

  49. October 19, 2012 at 5:14 pm #

Good ideas! I definitely think its worth the time and effort to respond to people. If they’re taking time to comment on your posts, why not show them the courtesy to write back? It is definitely a good way to build relationships and make conversation with readers. Great post!

    • October 19, 2012 at 9:15 pm #

      Thanks Kelly for stopping by.

I think It’s your first visit right? or first comment maybe.

  50. October 19, 2012 at 4:50 pm #

    Hi Ehsan,

Responding to blog comments is one of the best ways to build a thriving audience around your blog.

But the key point is: when your site is growing bigger, it always not possible to respond to everyone (if you do, you’re AWESOME) :)

Because everyone will love to get responses!

Now I know there’ll be a response coming from your for this comment ;)

Great insights! Keep up your work pal.

    • October 19, 2012 at 9:12 pm #

Yes Rahul, That is the key point.

You know what, Pat of SmartPassiveIncome.com had been replying to every comment on his blog from long time, but when his blog grew and the number of comments went very high than he started responding to comments that adds little value, but still he is trying his best to respond to every comment on his blog.

I’m also responding to every comment here because I want my readers to feel good and you’re 100% right because of course there will be a reply from me for your comment (I appreciate your comment ;))

      Thanks for stopping by Rahul.

  51. October 19, 2012 at 3:54 pm #

I always reply to comments on my blog, when i get them that is.

    • October 19, 2012 at 4:10 pm #

Haha David, If you don’t get comments on your blog than read my post about increasing the blog comments which I’ve linked above.

  52. October 19, 2012 at 2:41 pm #

Yup replying to each and every comment also makes commentater happy :) that he is getting noticed.

    • October 19, 2012 at 4:07 pm #

      Yes Guppu, You’re right!

But sharing the articles makes bloggers happy! ;)

  53. October 19, 2012 at 2:23 pm #

Responding to comments is a very important thing for a blogger..I am also doing the same thing Ehsan. when I regularly reply to comments by my visitors I get them visiting back my blog on mobiles again and again..I have seen that you also reply to every comment and that’s why you are getting success. By reading this post many bloggers will understand the reason for taking time in responding to comments….

    • October 19, 2012 at 2:59 pm #

Hey Rocky, I must say you’re doing great on your blog.

I have noticed that you are valuing your readers, but one thing I would like to suggest you is that make your blog design clean and simple, If possible invest some money on it.

      Thanks for your comment.

  57. October 19, 2012 at 10:09 am #

That’s a pretty good habit Ehsan. I always try to reply to the commebts on my blog but unfortunately, can’t follow thi strategy all the time. It’s really nice to see you replying to each of your comnents on this blog. Yeah, it obviously helps us to build a strong relationship with our readers.

    • October 19, 2012 at 1:38 pm #

Hey Priya, Glad you agree with my point here.

What strategy are you talking about? Can you please let me know?

  58. October 19, 2012 at 3:07 am #

Actually responding to every comment is important as what you have said, And also it helps to increase comment count. (You have at least 70-80 comments in every post. :-) )

    • October 19, 2012 at 1:32 pm #

Hey Raplus, That is my secret strategy man. I love to see the comment count high on my posts (even half of them are mine) because as I mentioned It build relationship.

BTW, Raplus, don’t you respond to every comment on your blog?

      • October 20, 2012 at 2:26 am #

Always I try to reply all comments in my blog. :-) And also thanks to visit my blog and drop a comment in my blog. :-)

        • October 20, 2012 at 10:21 am #

It’s my pleasure Raplus. I just wanted to get responded from you ;)

  59. October 19, 2012 at 2:26 am #

    Hi Ehsan,

Like when you said about human aspect. It’s true. Blog commenting is really easy to do and look like it become “basic menu” for every bloggers. Who can’t comment anyway right?

Sometimes, to save your time you can just respond to comments that really need answers. What do I think to bloggers who respond the comments? Of course he/she is a friendly person. But I do understand if they don’t respond on my comments. :D

    Thanks for the post

    • October 19, 2012 at 1:29 pm #

Okto, It won’t take more than 5 minutes to respond to every comment, so why should we respond to just those comments which adds value.

You should respond to every comment, even to those comments which just says “Thanks you” and try to ask a question in your reply. It makes them come again and reply you. Don’t you think?

Glad you liked the post. ;)

      • October 26, 2012 at 2:30 pm #

        Ehsan,

You make an excellent point. We shouldn’t just answer some comments. All comments should be created equal.

Hey Stacie, I’m really happy to get visitors from BizSugar, Now I’ll spent more time on there.

You know the another strategy to build relationship and increase the number of comments? It’s commenting back to commentator’s blog, so how do I ignore you? lol
