  16. July 31, 2012 at 11:06 am #

You are right. Reading alone won’t do it. You have to learn from reading. If you aren’t a good observer you won’t notice what you are reading. Read about techniques. Read about grammar. Fall in love with the language. Thanks for the nice article.

    • July 31, 2012 at 11:40 am #

@Social Media Agency. You are right on this, Reading alone won’t help if we don’t try to learn something from what we are reading.

  18. July 19, 2012 at 11:58 am #

Hi Ehsan, thanks for sharing an excellent post with some really useful tips.

The skill of writing is a continual learning process, and certainly I think the more you do it the (slightly) easier it becomes.

Having said that your tip (7) on analysing other writers work is a very useful one and should help to develop growth in writing ability and encourage a progressive development within the art of writing.

Also the reminder to add images is a good one, as a photographer myself I add images to virtually all my posts as I believe that breaking up the text in to smaller amounts makes for a better reader experience.

    - Phil

Hey Phill, I’m glade you found the tips useful.

  19. July 18, 2012 at 7:36 am #

    Hey Ehsaan!!
I really like some of the points that you have added above like adding images, writing short paragraphs and else. Images really adds an interest to the users to read the content. Similarly, short paragraphs. A short fresh and unique content definitely attracts a lot of customers to read it. I feel content must be unique and also should be written in an easy language so that the readers can understand it easily. Thanks for sharing this great post. I like it!!

    • July 18, 2012 at 8:51 am #

      Hey Aditi,

I’m glade you enjoyed the post.

Images always adds value to blog post, It is important to ad an image on each of blog post.
And also short paragraphs makes it easy for readers to scan the post and read it clearly and quickly.
We must not use more than 4 lines in a paragraph. I agree, content must be original and unique.
It’s my pleasure to share the great post with my fellow readers like you.

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your comment.

  20. July 12, 2012 at 11:40 pm #

I agree with adding images within your content as something that can amplify your writing. While it doesn’t really something that would improve your skills as a writer, it can be used as something that would make your written content look a lot better because it’s supported by something that people would like to see. People like looking at images more than just having to walk through a wall of text. Even though content in the form of text is what people focus on in SEO, white label reseller companies also have methods that involve the use of images that could help a site’s ranking in the search results.

    • July 13, 2012 at 6:57 am #

      Hey Gerald,

I ado agree with you, Adding images on every blog post is necessary because as you said no one likes to walk trough the wall of text.
I’m really you stopped by here and left such a meaningful comment.

  21. July 12, 2012 at 6:43 pm #

And what about ‘Writer’s block’ sometimes we feel that we have nothing to write about, what to do at that time?

    • October 26, 2012 at 3:07 pm #

I have written a blog post about it on what to do when you feel you can’t write anymore. The best thing to unblock writers blog is to take a break.

    Hey Ehsan,

I like tip number 5, keep them short and sweet. I find it hard to consentrate when I see a wall of text before my eyes. It’s off putting and makes me start to scan through for the good bits.

    • July 10, 2012 at 4:03 pm #

It’s for sure Simmeon, No one will read the post if they find it difficult to scan the post and as you said, they see a wall of text before their eyes.

  24. July 10, 2012 at 11:08 am #

As an award-winning copywriter myself, I have to agree with all your tips. I will always compare copy to a pint of Guinness (being Irish of course!).

A good pint of Guinness is allowed to settle before it’s topped up and handed to the customer. Same thing with web or offline copy. If it’s allowed to sit for a little bit while the writer goes away from it, comes back with clear eyes, then it’s much better copy.

The writer can hit the send or publish button knowing that it’s a good piece of copy.

    Thanks for sharing on bizsugar.com
    Take care,

    July 9, 2012 at 7:02 pm #

These are very good tips. Every blogger or whoever writes should take note of these tips. Writing evolves, once a non-writer begins to write, they develop their own style and they will get better at it over time. The use of images greatly enhances a write up, a right image will actually complement it. Thanks for these brilliant tips.

    • July 9, 2012 at 7:15 pm #

You’re right Shalu, ones a non-writer decided to start writing and he/she spend some time on writing, Will definitely get better results in less time (Depending on their skills).
I’m glade you liked the post Shalu.

Writing is important for any entrepreneur. Not only do bloggers and other internet marketers need to learn proper writing, but also anyone who is aspiring to be a successful person. You cannot make excellent proposals on any projects without knowing of proper grammar right?

  31. July 9, 2012 at 2:15 am #

    Those are great tips Ehsan.

I don’t think I’ve ever really practiced writing before, it’s just kind of come naturally for me. I will definitely agree with the shorter paragraphs. Those people who write such long ones really lose me I must say. Boring… And no images, what are they thinking!

You just really hit some high points here so I definitely agree. Nice work Ehsan and thanks for sharing this. I know a lot of people will find this helpful that still need a little assistance with how to improve their writing.

    You enjoy your week okay!

    Hello Ehsan,

    Awesome article…

Writing is a skill and like any other skill the more we practice it the better we get. As you said in your post that write everyday. I’m fully agree with you every writer should write every day not 5000 words but at least 500 words.

    :)

  36. July 8, 2012 at 9:03 am #

Hi Ehsan, I’ve seen my writing improve by doing more and more writing.

One tricky part when writing for the web is the length of paragraphs. It’s good you’ve highlighted it since i see many blogs ignoring this.

My personal rule is for the paragraphs not to exceed 4 lines.

    nice time!

    • July 8, 2012 at 10:10 am #

It’s nice to know that your writing has improved because of writing everyday.
You are right Norbet, Many Bloggers are ignoring this step. Short paragraphs makes it easy to scan the post and to read. A paragraphs must not be more than 4 lines.
Thanks for your comment here Norbert,
