It is no doubt that an effective writing is a blessing for every blogger and people will love to read your content if they like your writing style, so here’s the complete guide on how to improve writing skills for you.
I had a long conversation in my interview with aspiring writer Ali Luke on writing and learned a lot of strategies that I want to share with you.
If you have a freelance writing job or if you are a blogger like me, you’re taking it seriously and want to be followed by more readers than you must improve your writing skills first.
You need to engage your readers, encourage conversation, make them enjoy and keep them interested with your writing skills.
If you are going to say that everyone else is saying, don’t bother saying it, because you will sound stale and trite.

How To Improve Writing Skills:
You may already know that great content matters so much and every new visitors to your website will subscribe if they see your content useful. So here I’m sharing some great tips to improve your writing skills.
1. Read About Writing:
As many others already said that a good readers is a good writer. If you want to improve your writing skills then first you need to read about it.
Read books, blogs, magazines, newspapers because reading will not only improve your writing but will also give you some facts which you can use in your writing. Try to read something that you can put into practice and straight away.
2. Write Everyday:
You need to write everyday in order to improve your writing skills because the more you write, the easier your writing will become.
It isn’t easy to write blog posts in regular basis, so you don’t need to make a new post to your blog daily but joining other forums and groups with other bloggers will really help you improve.
3. Recheck and edit your writing:
Always recheck your post after finishing it instead of just clicking on publish button because rechecking and editing your finished post will make a huge difference in your post and by editing your post you will be spot more mistakes in your writing.
4. Use Compelling headlines:
You need to write strong headlines in order to get your audience to read your article. Using headlines that promises a benefit to readers has always been an effective technique among Bloggers wanting to gain peoples attention.
List posts and “How to” posts is a great example of strong headline. Below are some examples of strong headlines which can give you ideas on killer headlines.

5. Use short paragraphs:
Make things easier for your reader by writing in short sentences and paragraphs on your blog. It is will easy to scan and read by readers if you use short paragraphs.
Short paragraphs has a lot of benefits and makes your readers enjoy reading your posts and makes them love your blog.
6. Add Images:
Your post will be more better and easy scannable if you use images to your posts. No matter what you are writing about standards of specifications, an image worth thousands words, so remember to add an image to each of your blog posts.
Images can get you more traffic from Google images If you optimize it well, I have seen a lot of bloggers getting good number of traffic from Google images.
7. Print out great posts:
Whenever you read any good posts, Give it your time and try to find out the importance of writing skills of the author and also print it out.
It also give you ideas for your blog posts and this is what I’ve been doing since I read it from an eBook.
Take a look at writing style and try to find the thing which you can use in your own posts as a result of what you’ve discovered.

The skill of writing is a continual learning process, and certainly I think the more you do it the (slightly) easier it becomes.
Having said that your tip (7) on analysing other writers work is a very useful one and should help to develop growth in writing ability and encourage a progressive development within the art of writing.
Also the reminder to add images is a good one, as a photographer myself I add images to virtually all my posts as I believe that breaking up the text in to smaller amounts makes for a better reader experience.

I agree with adding images within your content as something that can amplify your writing. While it doesn’t really something that would improve your skills as a writer, it can be used as something that would make your written content look a lot better because it’s supported by something that people would like to see. People like looking at images more than just having to walk through a wall of text. Even though content in the form of text is what people focus on in SEO, white label reseller companies also have methods that involve the use of images that could help a site’s ranking in the search results.

I like tip number 5, keep them short and sweet. I find it hard to consentrate when I see a wall of text before my eyes. It’s off putting and makes me start to scan through for the good bits.
It’s for sure Simmeon, No one will read the post if they find it difficult to scan the post and as you said, they see a wall of text before their eyes.
As an award-winning copywriter myself, I have to agree with all your tips. I will always compare copy to a pint of Guinness (being Irish of course!).
A good pint of Guinness is allowed to settle before it’s topped up and handed to the customer. Same thing with web or offline copy. If it’s allowed to sit for a little bit while the writer goes away from it, comes back with clear eyes, then it’s much better copy.
The writer can hit the send or publish button knowing that it’s a good piece of copy.

I agree – a good writer is actually a good reader
Another tip that I might add is: Write out your story or article by hand first, then type it on a computer.
These are very good tips. Every blogger or whoever writes should take note of these tips. Writing evolves, once a non-writer begins to write, they develop their own style and they will get better at it over time. The use of images greatly enhances a write up, a right image will actually complement it. Thanks for these brilliant tips.

One tricky part when writing for the web is the length of paragraphs.It’s good you’ve highlighted it since i see many blogs ignoring this.
My personal rule is for the paragraphs not to exceed 4 lines.
