What would you select from the below?
Money or
Loyal readers?
Come on.. choose any one option among them.
If you choose money, undoubtedly you don’t know how the money works.
You should strive to build loyal readership for your blog not money because money comes automatically when you’ve targeted traffic and loyal readers.
Want a live example?
Check out Darren’s 31DBBB book. That’s sold over 20k+ times for 30$. It means he nearly made 6,00,000$ from selling an eBook!
How did he do that?
He built huge loyal readership first and then he converted those readers into customers and made money!
So how can you bring loyal readers for your blog? How can you make your readers love your blog?
10 Ways to Make Your Readers Love Your Blog
1. Create top notch content by creating curiosity:
Yes, content is still king. You’ve heard it 1000 times, you’ll hear it another 1000 times! So, create top notch content for you blog.
The better way to create quality content is by creating curiosity!
You can’t create curiosity without having your own voice. Write as you directly talking to your readers. Create curiosity by creating killer titles and make your readers love while they read your content!
2. Easy Navigation:
Have you ever read dailyblogtips blog? Look at the navigation system in the blog, you can easily find any post without any trouble.
Even the very first post of that blog(which was written 5 years back!) you can find easily. Can your readers find your content in the similar way?
Make it easy to navigate. Show them where to go after reading any blog post by using related posts under them.
3. Allow guest blogging occasionally:
Bring someone else to guest blog on your blog to show some variance for your readers.
But never overdo it. Accept guest posts occasionally to provide great mixture of writing.
4. Maintain good blog design:
Here are few things to remember while considering a good blog design.
- Typography: Typography means the fonts which you’re using at your blog. Use web safe fonts in your blog which makes easy to read your content.
- Font size: After choosing a better font for your blog, determine which font size you want to use. This plays major role. Consider using 14 to 16 pixels font sizes. Tiny font sizes can make your readers scary to read your content! So never use them.
- No cluttering: Simple is beautiful. It’s not a better idea to fill your sidebars with all the social media buttons, widgets etc. Moreover white space makes your blog design look more better.
- Maintain a professional logo: If you want to stand out, use a professional logo for your blog.
5. Develop better writing skills:
Your readers will love to read your blog if you’ve better writing skills. Your writing should be interesting. It should inspire and ignite your readers.
Here are few tips to write more better.
- Come up with viral titles
- Try to write using simple words so that anyone should understand what you’re saying
- Proof read your posts
- Call your readers to action
6. Spend money:
If you want to earn money, you’ve to spend money! Never think blogging as easy come – easy go approach.
If you make your look more professional then your readers will automatically consider you as a professional blogger.
- Spend money on hosting. I personally recommend you to choose Bluehost as your hosting provider because It’s world’s most popular and best hosting service.
- Purchase domain name(you must have your own domain name).
- Buy a premium good looking theme. Junkie-Themes and Elegant themes offers great themes WordPress themes.
- Use premium plugins like Market samurai, popup domination, SEOPressor etc.
- Tools like audio, video etc.
Though its not necessary to spend your money on all of the above even before you start earning money from your blog. But you need to consider having at least few of them on your blog.
7. Speed matters:
Make your blog loading time faster. Who likes if your blog takes 5+ seconds to load?
Here are few tips to make your blog faster.
- Use less plugins(anything around 15 is enough)
- Optimize your images
- Use a better hosting provider
8. Help your readers:
Your readers should have a compelling reason to read your blog. What makes them to read your blog again and again?
If you solve their problems they’ll surely visit your blog often.
- Solve their problems personally
- Be in touch with them via social media or emails
- Leave insightful comments on your readers blogs
- Guest blog for them if possible
9. Conduct interviews occasionally:
Surprise your readers sometimes by conducting interviews from other bloggers.
Prepare yourself with 10 to 15 questions(they should help your readers, keep that in mind) to ask.
This will help to grow your blog much faster than you imagine!
Don’t you love reading interviews in other blogs?
Then why don’t your readers love the same when they read at your blog? It surely works. Just give it a try!
10. Reward them with something:
Make your blog ‘do follow’. This makes them to comment as frequent as possible. Why should your readers comment if they don’t have a strong reason? Give freebies like podcasts, ebooks etc to reward them.
What would you suggest?
I’m done now! What would you suggest your readers to come back to your blog again and again?

I appreciate your comment Nizam bro. Thanks for sharing your thoughts regarding guest blogging. Keep visiting.
This is many things may unless think on my mind. I early thinks make money from blogger is easy, make a blog and include ads so you will get money. But this thinking is a big mistake. We need to loyal readers first then money will come. I very agree for “why should your readers comment if they don’t have a strong reason? in fact every bloggers need the backlink and this is big prize for readers.
thanks
Great post, great post and great post again!
That thought about choosing between money and a loyal following make the point clear. It’s unfortunate that when many start a blog their mind is mostly focused on the money they will make. And most times they want to make it now. When after a couple of months nothing is coming in they give and go look for something else.
Thanks for this great post.
Hi Chadrack,
YES! Almost every newbie Blogger focuses on ways of making money on their blog, their mind is only trying to find the best way to make a penny from their blog, that is the reason they fail at Blogging.
As Rahul mentioned in post. We should focus on getting loyal readers first instead of focusing on money.

Thanks for your second comment Rauf. Keep visiting.
Why did you do that Ammar? I think guest blogging is still a great in every field of Blogging like building relationship and getting quality backlinks etc.
Rahul, Most of guest authors are link builders. They just want backlinks :-/
Of course Ammar, It’s common they want backlink and that is the reason for guest Blogging. Everyone writes guest post to other blogs for backlinks.
Ammar you should start accepting guest Bloggers on your blog again because it not only brings a lot of quality articles to your blog from other blog but also makes a relationship and increases the traffic and comments to your blog.
Thanks for your suggestion
I just made few changes in rules and started accepting guest posts again
Nice to hear it Ammar, Keep up the good work like this. I have read the new great things on your blog which you mentioned in a post.
I was accepting guest posts recently around 1-2 guest posts/day. Now I remove guest post guide line page
I believe that what you said about loading times is very important. Using shared hosting can be problematic for this reason.
If anyone else on the server is creating a large load on the CPU or memory it can cause problems for your own site(s) as well.
If at all possible get on a VPS or even better, your very own server.
When that is no longer enough to keep your blog loading fast, it may be time to move to a caching plugin. This can allow a server to work faster and serve more readers simultaneously.
Great tips for blogging better and building a loyal readership.
Thanks David for the advice on blog’s loading. I’m using a catche plugin which is working good on my blog. Thanks for stopping by anyway.
Hey Rahul,
Design plays a important role in online business. Having a good design will ultimately going to help you to get more leads in your business.
I believe I’ve implemented everyone on this list except the last one.
Good stuff, Rahul.
@Devesh, Thanks for stopping by?
Hello Ehsan,
We all makes mistakes. When it comes to nominate the person who makes millions of mistakes I’ll put my name at first place. But at same time all those mistakes that i made in my life pushed me here. Today i’m here because of my mistakes and you reached to a level because of your mistakes.
So mistakes makes our life difficult for a while, but gives us lesson that makes our life full of success…
@Rahul
I never consider money as an important factor. In my eyes relations and connection are real thing and we are here to earn them not money. We can earn money very easily but we can’t win anybody’s heart very easily… So I’m glad that none of us running after money…
So true Romy. There isn’t a single person in the whole world who have never made a mistake in his life, but the good one are those who try to learn something from their mistakes and try to avoid mistakes.
Thanks for your reply Romy.
Agree with you Romy, Relations and connections are first and most important part, money comes later. Thanks for your reply Romy.
Hello Everyone, Thanks for stopping by and sharing your views here. I’m really glad that you all find it useful. Thanks for publishing it Ehsan.:)
Hello Rahul,
Yeah! The person who run for money, blog for money will not able to earn a single dime in their whole life until he changes his view.
My belief is that if you serve people, help people then you able to make a huge dimes pretty easily.
If you’re a blogger then serve your readers with quality, if you provide services to others then be there when your clients needs you.
Serve people and earn money with respect.
Thanks great post..
Romy Singh.
That was my mistake when I started Blogging first. I didn’t know anything about Blogging at that time that is why my only aim was to make money from my blog when I first created this blog. Now I know that readership and relationship is most important part of Blogging. We should focus on helping other on our blog and to get loyal readers first than money will come automatically as Rahul mentioned in post.
Thanks for the meaningful comment Romy.
Ehsan.
@ Romy: I agree with you. And I know that you, me and Ehsan is not running after the money. Surely it will pay off oneday!
Awesome…..! Thanks to write about the blog design in brief

I’m glade the post was helpful for you Vidu. Keep visiting for more.
If you ask me I’ll say if I’m able to read your content easily I love your blog. Hence reader want a clear cutting background to read your content and not your overall design.
Yeah I agree Irfan, If you blog’s background and design is simple and easy to navigate than readers will surely love your blog.
Thanks for stopping by.
Very valuable article and great effort has been put to write this up. Mashallah you’re going great, Ehsan. I really must appreciate this master-piece. Real-life practical tips are out there in the post. I love reading every word of it and will definitely try some of them to my blog too. Thanks for splendid post again.
Thank you Rauf for stopping bye and leaving a meaningful comment. I’m really happy you liked this article.
Thanks again.
Ehsan.
Hi Ehsan and Rahul,
Nice guest post and you most definitely covered some excellent tips. Of course the question at the beginning was a trick question because I would also go for the money when you ask it that way. I know for a fact though that it’s about building relationships first with your readers. The money will eventually come.
I believe I’ve implemented everyone on this list but doing interviews. I haven’t dove into that yet mainly because I guess I read them so many places that I’m not really ready to incorporate them onto my blog. Not quite yet. But it’s great being the one who has been interviewed, I admit loving that.
Thanks again Rahul for sharing these awesome tips. This is definitely a post everyone should read. I’ll be sure to share it with my friends and followers too!
~Adrienne
Hi Addrienne, Every newbie Blogger who don’t know the basics of Blogging will choose money of course, but building relationship and getting loyal readers is the first and most important part of Blogging. We should focus on making money from our blog but at least not at first. I’m glade you liked the post Adrienne. I will be very thankful to you if you share it with your fellow readers.
Thank you very much for stopping by Adrienne.
Keep visiting for more.
Ehsan.
@ Adrienne: You should try interviews in your niche soon! Your readers will love reading it, moreover it gives your blog a momentum if the interview goes viral!
Having a good designing is a good way to make your readers love your blog, that also is why I chose a premium WP theme for my blog.
Yeah good designing plays a major role in Blogging success. You use a premium theme on your blog and that also is why I love your blog Trung:D
Yeah, thanks so much for that sound, Ehsan.
I disagree with you. Premium themes are great, but they aren’t all. There are free themes with tons of value and much better than premium ones. The point here is not how much the theme costs, but how can it help your blog in terms of getting readers’ attention and converting
@Robert, There are much better free themes, but free themes doesn’t give us the opportunity to fully control that theme. There must be some links on footer which we can’t remove or anything else they add on that theme to get back to their website.
Premium themes are ones in which we can do everything we want. They are fully controlled by us.
Thanks for your comment anyway.
Hi Robert
You’ve raised an interesting point. Yes, I agree free themes are great because they’re FREE! But, when you consider your blogging as a business, then at some point you should spend money on premium themes, it adds extra SEO benefits!
Moreover, you never know whether free themes include malicious code in it or not! If you trust the free themes service then you can use them [:)]
